In 2023, Vietnam is likely among Asia’s fastest-growing economies. The GDP growth of the nation is expected to reach 5.8% in 2023 and accelerate to 6.9% in 2024, according to the latest World Economic Outlook report from the International Monetary Fund.

The country has witnessed rapid economic transformation, from the North to the South, from rural to urban. However, the fast change reveals the inequality gap, shown in the income of members of society, the living conditions, housing, health care, education, etc.

Underrepresented groups often struggle to navigate a living, some diligently fighting for their rights because of the non-transparent capitalism interference, and some live in limbo.

This series captured from the North to the South of Vietnam with an attempt to show the fast development throughout the country where I’ve been traveling for years of my career.
